
Title: CAPC Facilitator (Community Action Program for Children)
Job Order #: 042
Wage: $20.00 / hr to start with room for advancement
Hours: 40 hrs / week
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in the field of psycology, have ECE or are enrolled in ECE, or one year work experience with children at risk.
- Work in the Domestic Violence, F.A.S.D, and F.A.E. work an asset.
- Successful applicant must possess a valid Driver's License and have their own vehicle.
- Be able to work cross culturally and a willingness to travel is essential.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
- Working with children who have witnessed abuse or been abused
- Working with children ages 0-6
- Able to do play/art therapy
- Helping children with self esteem building and communicating emotions
- Continue searching out various resources for CAPC library i.e.: children's program, books, etc.
- Maintain individual client records
- Liasion with community agencies
- Have excellent written and oral skills
- Outreach children's program to schools, daycares, etc.
- Continue ongoing individual and family support
- Other duties related to this position as assigned by the Executive Director
