Title: Childcare Worker (Anticipatory)

Wage: $15/hour to start plus increases based on completion of Early Childhood Education Courses.
Hours:Full Time - 40 hours a week. Schedule to be determined by manager.
Qualifications:
- Must have direct working experience with children
- Early Childhood Education certificate (ECE) or equivalent education and training an asset
- Experience working with children
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers and parents
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Criminal record check is mandatory
- 18 years old or older.
- Provide healthy environment for the positive emotional, physical, social and cognitive development of children ages 3 months to 8 years in a day care setting
- Supervise children in indoor/outdoor play and during rest periods
- Lead children in activities by telling/reading stories, teaching songs and preparing craft materials
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Discuss progress or problems of children with parents and other staff members
- Assist in keeping daycare facilities clean and appealing
