Title: Assistant Recreation Programmer

Wage: $18.53 / hr
Hours: Full time (6 month term)
Qualifications:
- Over the age of 21
- Minimum Grade 12
- Ability to present a polite, pleasant, and professional attitude towards co-workers and patrons of the rec. centre
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- strong leadership qualities
- Genuine interest in working with youth
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable, honest, and enthusiastic
- Willingness to obtain RCMP Criminal Record Check
- Must currently hold or be willing to obtain Basic First Aid/CPR
- Ability to work in a cross cultural environment
Duties:
- Develop healthy, fun programming for youth as directed by the recreational programming supervisor
- Monitor use of recreation centre during shift; assist patrons with access to facilities and equipment as required
- Supervise and implement programming for evening youth group; monitor youth activity and behaviour
- Attend front desk and phones as required
- Assist with the preparation for special events as directed by supervisor
