Title: Security Guard

• Denison Environmental Services (DES), a division of Denison Mines Inc., is a leader in mine decommissioning and care and maintenance services for closed mine sites in Canada. DES is contracted to provide care and maintenance services to the Yukon Government at the Faro Mine site as well as to provide project management for reclamation projects. DES is seeking four (4) Security Guards to join our team at the Faro Mine Complex in support of reclamation work anticipated to occur between June and November 2010.
• The Security Guard person will be required to work 12 hour day and night shifts on a rotating
basis.
• An understanding of mining operations would be an asset. However, the focus is on Safety and Security at the Faro Mine Complex. Written and basic communication skills are required.
• A Standard First Aid Certificate
• Must be well organized, and have the ability to manage and prioritize assignments.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience using MS Office applications would be an asset

• Signing in / out personnel entering / leaving the Grum gate,
• Provide orientation training to new employees / visitors,
• Patrolling the property and check buildings/equipment,
• Checking on the well being of all employees on the site by radio, and log all checks,
• Assisting when required with janitorial duties, and
• Assisting Project Manager, Construction Manager and Construction Monitor when required.
