INVITATION TO TENDER
Qualifications:
- This tender will be a maximum of 32 hours/month which will include evenings and weekends.
- This quotation must be completed, signed and returns, sealed in an enveloper plainly makred "Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic" to the Town Officer by 4:30pm, Friday, July 3rd, 2009
- All tenders must indicate of GST is extra or included. Any tender submitted without this information will be deemed to INCLUDE GST.
- The lowest of any Tender or contract will not neccessarily be accepted and the Town reserves the right to accept the tender or contracts deemed most favorable to the Town.
- Any tender or contract received from an individual or company who is in arrears with the Town on any account as of the closing date of the tender or contract may have their tender or contract rejected.
- The TOWL shall be specified as an additional insured on all required Commercial General Liability Insurance.
- To complete mechanical repairs, including on site emergency repairs
- Service and maintenance on all Town owned heavy equipment as required to meet safety standards
- Perform road tests before and after repairs
- Some on call duties required
- Order parts and materials as required
- Prepare written status reports on equipment and provide the Public Works Supervisor with technical and mechanical expertise as requested
- Perform Nationasl Safety Code Vehicle Inspections
- Welding esperience an asset
- Minimun of 3 years experience with maintenance of road graders will be required
- Contractors must hold a valid Business license, inter-municipal or Watson Lake, and provide proof of Workers Compensation coverags as required.
- Computer skills required for planned maintenance.
