Title: Childcare Professional

• All employees must undergo a level 4 criminal records check; obtain a TB screening; obtain medical clearance; and provide immunization record prior to starting employment
• ECD
• Proven ability to work with children
• Ability to follow a work plan
• Ability to work well with parents and co-workers
• Ability to respect confidentiality
• Ability to develop and implement an age appropriate program
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Willingness to participate in training and workshops

• Provide a healthy environment for the positive emotional, physical, social and cognitive development of the children in attendance in a multicultural Daycare setting
• Supervise and interact with children in indoor/outdoor play
• Supervise rest periods
• Work with parents to ensure nutritious lunches are provided
• Provide snacks in accordance with Canada's Food Plan
• Lead children in activities: art, reading, story telling
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toileting habits
• Keep parents and supervisor informed of child development
• Assist in the development and implementation of a culturally inclusive program
• Identify and report needed repairs
• Assist in keeping the Daycare Centre clean and orderly
